Lady Randolph Churchill, 1880s. Known as Jennie Jerome of Brooklyn, NY, Jennie married Lord Randolph Churchill, the third son of the 7th Duke of Marlborough. This marriage & that of her sisters to British aristocracy inspired Edith Wharton’s “The Buccaneers”.
